Sex Education

sex education!

Common avenues for sex education are parents or caregivers, school programs, and public health campaigns. Almost all U.S. students receive some form of sex education at least once between grades 7 and 12; many schools begin addressing some topics as early as grades 5 or 6.[15] However, what students learn varies widely, because curriculum decisions are so decentralized. Many states have laws governing what is taught in sex education classes or allowing parents to opt out. Some state laws leave curriculum decisions to individual school districts. Abstinence-only sex education tells teenagers that they should be sexually abstinent until marriage and does not provide information about contraception. In the Kaiser study, 34% of high-school principals said their school's main message was abstinence-only.

I don't think that it is bad that they teach us this at school. It's better than kids never knowing and just hearing rumors and things from the other people at school.

I think that sex education is good because it teaches kids right from wrong and about the body etc.

I think it's better to learn the facts in school than somewhere else.

I do not believe young people should be having intercourse. It causes problems for the people involved. There are many consequences of having intercourse that leads to worse things. Kids should be taught about the rights and wrongs and about what can happen. Nothing good comes of it and you are not respecting your body.

I think it is good that students get the chance to learn about sex before they take the action. Most children still don't know whats going on, i believe that needs to be changed

i think sex ed should be taught in school, but only after eighth grade. any time before that, you just really dont need to know, because you shouldnt be involved in those kind of "activities"

and this writing is amazing

I think that sex-ed should be taught in schools but I think that younger grades shouldn't be taught that.

It's definately a good thing sex ed it taught in school, but I don't think it should be taught so early, 7th or 8th grade is fine, but 5th or 6th grade is way too early!

I think that ifevry school district had the same cirriculium then the student would have the same view and insight on sex ed

sex ed is taught a little to early because i learned sex ed in the sixth grade it should be taught in seventh grade and when the teacher said the V word everyone laughed.

Sex ed should be taught in school because i think we need to know these things and the risks of sex.

I think that is a good thing that they teach us sex-ed because it's better than having us not know at all and just hear all sorts of untrue rumors about the topic.

Sex Ed should be taught at schools. But maybe in high school when most kids are more mature.

ok ok ok you really needed this cause others need to learn that it is wrong to be gay and lez humans need to go on a diffrent sex then there own that is a bad sin and you are not doing what you are made to do i mean i say it is fine but you need to have kids first not to be mean.
